HOTEL FACTS

Historic background
The "Wörthersee"-architecture accords the lake its especial charm. Franz Baumgartner is one of the most famous representative of this stylistic period, planned and built Villa Rainer between 1910 and 1914 for Baron Dr. Turkovic as summer residence. 1928Family Rainer baught this villa. In 1956 the first room with running water and breakfast was offered.

Some years after the wars the 13.000 m² park, the wonderful location at the Wörthersee with 100 m lake access and the wide ranging area attract famous people, for example Empire-bank president Hjalmar Schacht or author Fritz Wöss who wrote"Dogs do you want to live forever".
In the 70's Bruno Kreisky, in the 80's princess Margriet of Netherlands with her family as well as well-known commercial and political persons spent their vacation at HOTEL Villa RAINER.

After some modifications and extensions HOTEL Villa RAINER shines as 4-star Superior like a jewel on "Wörthersee".
